Excuse me,

and my little absence, I was way too busy kissing babies, staying up late talking to my sister, and completely missing out on any ounce of sleep. I had such a wonderful trip to Odessa, busy, yet wonderful. I am so happy I saw my nieces and nephew to hold me over for a little over 3 weeks when they will arrive back in DFW for a quick stay. I am pretty much drowning in school work trying to prepare for all the papers and tests I have before spring break. I am heading down to a cabin with the boy and his family in two weekends, so while I play catch up but continue to do school work, I might be a little scattered with my posts. But I promise I'll eventually get in the swing of this. In the meantime, enjoy these precious pictures of the cutest littles.

Aren't they the cutest?

Seeing their sweet faces makes my heart full.

Happy Wednesday!

Leaving On a Jetplane

and I don't know what to wear.

Hope you sang along with that one. Anyways, I am headed to Odessa to see my babies in less than 48 hours and I am so excited, but it has really got me thinking about airplane attire. I know, I know, it's only 45 minutes, it doesn't matter. But you know that feeling when you've traveled and want to change clothes because you feel gross? Ok maybe it's just me, but I don't want to feel like that. I want to feel cute and be able to wear my outfit the majority of the day. So I decided to gather some of my favorite celebrity airport looks that are cute but maintain the need to be comfortable. Lauren Conrad is my go to travel wear girl, she is always caught lookin so cute at the airport.
Vanessa Minnillo looking casual but polished with a tshirt
and a blazer.
Via

Jennifer Aniston has the right idea with the boyfriend jeans,
slip on shoes, and scarf.
via

Rachel Bilson cozied in layers with the leggings, scarf,  & boots combo.
via

Perfection.
via
She just knows exactly my style when it comes to traveling
or how I want to dress anyways.
via

I'm thinking on the way there I'm going to rock the leggings, oversized long sleeve t-shirt, with a sweater because it's always cold, and a light scarf that adds a pop of color. Only thing I am hesitant on is boots or flats? I mean boots would be so cute, but what an effort take on and off at security. Still contemplating that one. I'll be back tomorrow with Thursday things, which will be filled with airport necessities.

What do you think? What's your favorite way to travel?

Countdown begins.

Weekends are good, especially with they include a fancy meal with my boy, and end with brunch. Not too mention, my best friend came into town and we got to spend the night catching up which is always a plus.
Brunchies from Rio Mambo

Dress I've been waiting to wear.
Dress:LC for kohl's

I spent more time than planned getting my family's dogs all taken care of. Which included, baths, shots, vaccines, and medicine to get them healthy. But that's ok, because they make pretty great and entertaining car companions.

My favorite attire from this past weekend.

Tunic:Jcrew, Sweater: Cable and Gauge, Leggings:Target,
Boots:Ciao Bella, Watch:Gifted, Fossil

On to the real reason for this blog,

In exactly 4 days, I will be on a 45 minute flight to Odessa to see my big sister and her precious kiddos. Can't wait to hug them. Can you believe it takes 6 hours to drive there, but you can hop on a plane for 45 minutes and be there? Transportation is wonderful.

In about 3 1/2 weeks, I will be going on a weekend trip with the boyfriend and his family to a cabin in Grapeland, TX. I am excited for a little vacation, and too add its the weekend before the next which is spring break. So definitely looking forward to some travel time and little breaks from school to keep me going.

Like I said in 4 weeks it's spring break, which by then I will be so glad to have because I always get to get away with my mom and go shopping!

Have a lot to look forward too, but trying to keep my head up from drowning in school work.

How was your weekend? What are you looking forward too, anything exciting?

How can one not be ecstatic to see this little cutie?

The day after.

I always dislike the day after a holiday. It always ends more quickly than I wish.

Shirt: Hollister, Red Jeans: American Eagle, Rainboots:Sperry
Scarf:From Mama
I decided that Valentines Day called for some red skinnies and a red flower in the hair. I originally had on some cute nude flats but it was a little muddy outside, so I opted out for the rain boots considering I had to walk across campus.
I spent the majority of my day going to class, watching how I met your mother, and went grocery shopping to restock my tiny fridge.

On tuesdays, I always have lab from 5-7, so boyfriend joined me after to at least get to spend some time together on valentines day. We decided to delay our date until the weekend, but for last night, we slipped into a quaint little Italian restaurant. We didn't make reservations, but luckily they said we could have table but we only had an hour. We agreed that was ok as long as they gave us time to eat our food. It was wonderful. Going to a cozy restaurant and just relaxing and talking is really one of my favorite things to do, but still excited to get dressed up and go out this weekend.

How was your Valentines Day?
Hope it was wonderful.

Unfortunately, playtime is over for me and I have a lot to do get done today, before the weekend arrives tomorrow.

Dear T,

I was constructed for you, and you were molded for me.

So glad to call you my best friend.

A quick winter glimpse!

This weekend was perfection, as most usually are compared to school days. But really, this weekend was extra special for no particular reason. Friday morning was wonderful. I woke up and finally got to go brunch at Mimi's with mama. Have been asking her for a while now, and we just haven't been able to make it happen. Luckily, I had a coupon too and we got one meal for free! Then I convinced her to see The Vow with me and obviously in my previous post, you can tell I loved it. Friday night was spent as usual, next to my boy at the sushi bar at Tokyo Cafe. We then preceded to see safehouse. Did you see it? Let me just say for starters it's a great action packed movie, but let me also warn you with this: you will be stressed out the entire time, and if your anything like me, your hands with either be over your mouth or you'll be gasping. But other wise, it was great! Saturday was slow moving but definitely relaxing. I love saturdays, they're just what lazy weekends are all about. Especially if that calls for ending the night, cozied up in Panera with a bread bowl of creamy tomato.

Monday, always comes way too quick. Last night, Texas finally got a little peak at winter. I was starting to believe we wouldn't have snow, but of course we got about a solid 2 hours (maybe more, I went to sleep) of beautiful white flurries that decided to show themselves. It was about time! Unfortunately, I had already gone back to school. I was wishing I was by the fire at home, but it actually ended up being a nice night spent in bed right watching indie movies on netflix, next to the window. I am grateful, even though I was crossing my fingers for a snow day to get a bunch of homework done. Maybe next time, It will decide to stick.

I'm spending my evening getting some final things done for the week ahead and then writing valentines day cards with a glass of hot tea at my side.

Stay cozy!

I vow to love you in all your forms.

"Life's all about moments of impact and how they change our lives forever."
-The Vow

You know when you see a movie and you walk away saying that's not real life but I really wish it was? Well yesterday, I saw The Vow. Honestly, more than anything it inspired me. I walked away wanting to know what my relationship looked like from the outside. I want to remember all those moments of impact.  So I came home and I sat and I tried to think of all those moments I never wanted to forget but I couldn't remember, not because I lost my memory but because they were stored to a place. I remember things as a hole instead of all those teeny tiny moments that take up a mere 3 seconds in time. They're are so many things I want to know and be able to re create. I should really keep a journal. But for now, I just want to go back.

I want to remember the place where Boyfran asked me out, because I remember the moment so clearly. Everything that happened, but where was it? I would love to go sit at this place and be able to relive it.
I'll always remember this one day right before boyfriend was leaving for what we thought was going to be a year. He took me to this park we sat and it started pouring rain, but the kind of rain that makes everything have the clearest haze over it. We sat and we just kissed. Now, usually I'm not one for kissing in front of everyone else but it was perfect. I didn't care what anyone else thought.
The rainy day.
I remember this one night and me and my parents were going to get frozen yogurt and we were riding in my moms convertible with the top down. It had been a really good day, and I remember sitting in the back with the wind slapping me and my face and thinking I never want this to end. "I am so content".
My senior year formal (prom). the afterparty, I talked until 4 in the morning, staring at the lake, laughing. Deciding that I was exactly where I needed to be.
The roadtrip me and boyfriend took to Odessa last semester. We listened to the same song over and over again and stared at the never ending road. 6 hours in the car to and from. It was perfect.
I remember little things, bits and pieces. I am so happy with my life.

This morning I woke up eager to start taking it all in. I try so hard but then I'm out of the moment. I think you just have to live to life fully and when you sit down to go back, you'll notice you remember more than you think. It's always fun to feel all it over again though, amazing what a memory can do for you. Especially, those moments of impact.

Bottomless Pit.

I have to admit something. I am having a little bit of a problem. It's kind of embarrassing but I'm actually not ashamed. I've developed a stomach that has decided it is going to be a bottomless pit. I feel hungry all the time, I mean all the time, all day long. So between chinese food, dinner, and then a little after dinner meal. My tummy is finally saying it's full, but give it an hour and it will be starving all over again. What do I do? It's an issue. Even my little brother said tonight "how are you still eating". Ooops! Oh well, what's a girl to do when she's hungry but eat.

On another note, the 30 day shred is a killer. Having to push through the pain, but after two days, I'm already having trouble walking up and down the stairs and sitting.

Also….

The Vow comes out tomorrow!! Yay! I am taking mama to see it because I think she will love it, and boyfran says we saw a girl movie last time, and his movie is out this weekend. I lost that battle real quick. Regardless, I am so excited for a new chick flick, hoping for it to be a new favorite. Looks too cute!

Save room for my love, save room for a moment.

I'm not much of a college kid in that I don't really participate in too many events that the school hosts, including any kind of sporting event. However, once a year the school picks out one person to be the keynote speaker and put on a huge presentation. It is always cool to have this opportunity available, because you get to hear people you would probably never come close to hearing. Last year it was George Bush and I have to say he is just the cutest texan, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This year is a little different in that they picked a singer, John Legend. I am beyond excited to see him tonight. I know it's not really concert but more so a speech with some songs at the end, but looking forward to hearing him regardless. I am crossing my fingers in that he plays ordinary people and save room. I had never heard of John Legend, until I started dating T. He showed me that song and I fell in love. If you haven't heard it, go listen for yourself. He is wonderful.  I love weekday events like this, especially when Boyfran shows up at school. It always makes the week go a lot faster. I'll give you an update about how it goes. Happy Tuesday to all of you, hope the week is going by just the way you planned.

Weekend Bliss.

Weekends are so good to me. Really good.
I don't know what it is but sometime between mid-thursday and monday morning, I feel like I have a whole new week ahead. It's like I am starting school over again after a long break. Now don't get me wrong, every monday does not start out like this, but when it does the week is just that much better. I haven't had to go back until monday afternoon due to a class partly online, so today I got to enjoy a nice lunch with the boy before heading back to school and it's always a plus to get to see him an extra weekday. It's been a wonderful monday.

On another note, I started Jillian Michaels 30 day shred today. Not to lose weight, but to get in good shape and get toned. I've really had a hard time getting into an actually routine and this seemed like a good way to do so. You think your in good shape then you turn on this basic 20 minute work and your entire body burns. I don't mean to be gross either, but I was actually sweating to the point where it was running in my eye. Needless to say, Jillian is probably going to be kicking my butt for the next 30 days, hopefully into great shape. We will just see, I'll keep you posted!

Hope you had a great monday kickstarting this week into gear.

and if you need a little motivation or a laugh for monday blues, here you go.

We love the rain when it washes our cars

Me and Boyfran are in a transition tradition, well have been for a while. We are in the process of becoming regulars at the cutest little chinese/sushi cafe. It has a such a quaint and cozy feel to it, that you can't help but fall in love. It has this charming little sushi bar that sits you perfectly so that you can see every piece of sushi made as an art. Needless to say the conversation with sushi chefs and the wonderful sushi of course is becoming a friday favorite of mine. We are beginning to get a normal waitress who knows our favorite rolls and I especially love hearing them say "see you next week". I hope this tradition never ends. I'm kind of in love. Really I am just head over heels in love with weekends in general, but today has been extra wonderful. Because who doesn't enjoy a rainy friday night spent eating sushi, and  frozen yogurt while reading magazines, and ending the night with easy conversation. That was my friday night and I couldn't be happier.

Little Bit of Me

Name is Amberly Marie. I am from the DFW metroplex in Texas. I'm a sophomore in college who is simply just finding my way, and this blog is just a little way for me to do so. I am majoring in Speech-Language Pathology. I am a family person so I feel you should know that I grew up in a big family of 7, my parents, 3 older sisters, me, and a little brother. My two oldest sisters are now married, one of which has 3 kids who you will be seeing plenty of on here. I'm a little bit of a mess so I hope you will bare with me. I enjoy shopping a little too much, good music, concerts, anything girly, every episode of friends, and being with the people I love. I believe in; God, that laughing is the best for the soul, in kissing, that coffee is better in the evening, that the heart of life really is good, that cake should be eaten for breakfast, that there is beauty in all, that I have a second stomach for dessert, and that there can never be too much pink. My best friend is my boyfriend and we are going on 3 years of dating. We'll call him T or boyfrann (either/or). My blog is for the expression of any personal thought, current obsessions, random rants, and my young but vibrant passion for all those things I love.

Enjoy! I hope you'll keep visiting!
